Agrokor situation requires stable and continuous monitoring in BiH

A meeting was held at the premises of the FBiH Government between the Minister of Entrepreneurship and Crafts of FBiH, Amir Zukić, with 11 Agrokor suppliers in BiH and the Trade Union, discussing the crisis present in the region's countries due to business with Konzum.

- We tried to identify an approach through certain measures and mutual cooperation to help Konzum overcome the crisis more easily, and to try to ensure compensation for suppliers to whom around 130 million KM is owed for previous claims, which would ensure normal supply and turnover for Konzum - said Zukić, explaining that it was concluded that the situation requires stable and continuous monitoring of processes in Konzum, suppliers, employees, and banks.

It was agreed that representatives of the FBiH Government will hold a meeting with Konzum's management this week and offer a framework for conduct in the coming period, after which suppliers will meet again with Konzum's management to try to establish fair and honest cooperation to continue Konzum's business.

- If this is not successful, the Government and ministries will consider steps to protect suppliers, employees, and the banking sector, and thus Konzum, to try to create an environment for Konzum to function normally after all the problems - said Zukić.

Adin Fakić, director of the Milkos dairy, is satisfied that the FBiH Government has identified the seriousness of the situation and that there is partner cooperation.

- It was defined that we need to work together and that we will involve Konzum on the other side. It is important for both suppliers and producers that we have a stable market. A stable Konzum is important for all of us who work and do business in BiH. We expect the situation to stabilize and we must be positive in terms of problem-solving because today we received information that gives us hope that the situation will be properly managed and controlled and that the process will be brought to a proper conclusion - said Fakić.
