The problems started in the early morning hours, and millions of people are still unable to use these platforms.

Users on platforms such as X (formerly Twitter) and Reddit began reporting issues with accessing Facebook and Instagram.

The problems include the inability to refresh the feed, post content, or send messages via the Messenger app.

According to data from sites that monitor online services like Downdetector, the peak of reports was recorded around 10:00 AM Central European Time.

Meta, the company that owns Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, confirmed it is aware of the outages and is actively working to resolve the issue.

"We are aware that some users are having trouble accessing our platforms. We are working to resolve these issues as quickly as possible and apologize for the inconvenience," a company spokesperson stated in a release posted on platform X.

Although Meta has not yet released official details on the causes of the outages, experts speculate that the problem could be related to technical failures on servers or infrastructure updates.

Similar outages in the past have been caused by DNS (Domain Name System) issues or server configuration errors.
