Syrian Caused Commotion at Sarajevo Airport

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Officers of the Sarajevo Airport Border Police Unit discovered an unidentified person this morning during a patrol of the airport's airside. The person was determined to be a citizen of Syria who did not possess a permit to move and stay in the restricted zone of the airport, due to which they were placed under supervision.

Due to the presence of a person without a permit in the restricted area, passengers on the flight to Vienna were re-screened as soon as possible, along with a counter-diversion inspection of the aircraft, which determined there were no obstacles to takeoff, the BiH Border Police announced.

The BiH Prosecutor's Office has been informed of the incident.

Work on the case is ongoing.
