Syria: At least 10 civilians, including children, killed in air strikes on hospital

At least 10 civilians, including three children, were killed in air strikes on a hospital in northwestern Syria, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported, according to the Patria News Agency.

The attacks targeted the town of Meles in the rebel-held Idlib province. Russian and Syrian government aircraft operate in Syria, but it is unknown which of them carried out the attack.

Humanitarian organizations persistently call for an end to attacks on medical facilities. The Syrian opposition says that both Syrian and Russian aircraft deliberately bomb hospitals. The World Health Organization points out that Syria is the most dangerous country for medical personnel, with 135 attacks on medical facilities during 2015.
