SIPA arrested S.A. for war crimes in Zvornik

Acting on the order of the BiH Prosecutor's Office, police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) today (30.11.2015) arrested a person with initials S.A. (1967) in the Zvornik area for war crimes.

The person with initials S.A. was arrested due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that they committed the criminal offense under Article 171 of the BiH Criminal Code, "Genocide", in the wider Zvornik area during 1995, in connection with Article 180 of the BiH Criminal Code.

Acting on the order of the BiH Court, SIPA investigators searched the premises used by the suspect, with the aim of finding and temporarily seizing items that may serve as evidence in further proceedings.

The arrested person will be brought to SIPA's official premises, where criminal processing will be carried out, after which they will be handed over to the BiH Prosecutor's Office for further proceedings.
