SIPA Arrests Man for Threats to Kill Non-Believers

(Patria) - Police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) yesterday, acting on an oral order of the Court of BiH, conducted searches of residential and auxiliary buildings and movable property at two locations in the Zenica area and arrested one person.

The person was arrested on grounds of reasonable suspicion of having committed the criminal offense of terrorism, SIPA announced.

After the arrest, the person was taken to SIPA premises for criminal processing and questioning as a suspect. The further status of the arrested person will be determined by the Prosecutor's Office of BiH.

The searches conducted revealed and temporarily seized items that may serve as evidence in criminal proceedings, namely two mobile phones, a knife, and a pistol suspected of being used in the video, which was determined on the spot not to be a real firearm.

According to gathered information, the arrested person posted a video on his Facebook profile in which he appears, presents himself as Edin Podgora, and states that he has set out to kill non-believers and Jews, as well as enemies of Muslims, and says he will kill with the knife visible in the video, as well as with a pistol of unknown make.

The aforementioned activities were carried out in cooperation with the Intelligence-Security Agency (OSA) of BiH and the Ministry of Interior of ZDK.
