SIPA: Suspect arrested in continuation of "Clio" operation

(Patria) - Police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) have, in the continuation of the "Clio" operational action, arrested a person in the Mostar area for whom an arrest warrant was previously issued and who has been on the run since 04/11/2025.

The arrested person was handed over to the further jurisdiction of the Prosecutor's Office of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton after criminal processing and questioning as a suspect.

On 04/11/2025, during operational activities in the Stolac area, in connection with the operation codenamed "Clio", SIPA police officers searched a passenger motor vehicle, during which they discovered and temporarily seized three kilograms of dry herbaceous matter that resembles the narcotic drug skunk.

"Through field work, as well as already known information about the individual and their activities, when the person was stopped by SIPA police officers, driving a Renault Clio passenger motor vehicle, the individual ignored the order and continued driving. During the movement, i.e., the escape, the suspect caused minor bodily injuries to a SIPA police officer, damaged the vehicle with their further movement, and fled the scene," stated SIPA.

There is a reasonable suspicion that the individual committed the criminal offense of Unauthorized Production and Trafficking of Narcotic Drugs, as prescribed by the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Furthermore, a report on the committed criminal offense of Assault on an Official Person Performing Security Duties, as prescribed by the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, has been filed against the individual, SIPA announced.
