SIPA arrests three in Mostar for drug possession, nine kilos of skunk found

In an operational action codenamed „Rover“, police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) today (11.9.2017) deprived three persons of their liberty in the area of the municipality of Mostar on suspicion of having committed the criminal offense of organized crime in connection with the criminal offense of unauthorized trafficking in narcotic drugs.

Searches of facilities in the area of Stolac and Ljubuški are underway with the aim of finding and temporarily seizing items that may serve as evidence in further proceedings. 

These activities are being carried out pursuant to orders of the Court of BiH and the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, in cooperation with police officers of the Ministry of Interior of Herzegovina-Neretva Canton and the Ministry of Interior of West Herzegovina Canton.

During work on this case, approximately nine kilograms of a plant substance that by its appearance resembles the narcotic drug „skunk“ have been found and seized so far.

The deprived persons are suspected of having, together with persons known to them, procured the narcotic drug „skunk“ from Montenegro and distributed and resold it in the area of BiH and the Republic of Croatia with the aim of obtaining unlawful material gain.

The deprived persons will be brought to the official premises of SIPA for criminal processing, after which they will be handed over to the Prosecutor's Office of BiH for further action.
