SIPA arrests one person in Ljubuški wanted by Interpol

(Patria) - Police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) today arrested one person in the municipality of Ljubuški, who was wanted by Interpol on an international warrant.

The international warrant was issued by NCB Interpol Zagreb with the aim of arresting and extraditing the said person to the Republic of Croatia. The arrested person is wanted by Interpol Zagreb for criminal prosecution for the criminal offense of "Unauthorized possession, production, and trafficking of drugs and substances prohibited in sports" from Article 190, Paragraph (2) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Croatia.

Based on operational intelligence, SIPA police officers located the said person in the municipality of Ljubuški, after which they were arrested and brought to SIPA premises for criminal processing.

Upon completion of the aforementioned activities, the arrested person will be handed over to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina for further proceedings.
