(Patria) - Acting on the order of a prosecutor from the BiH Prosecutor's Office, SIPA police officers, in the area of Banja Luka, arrested suspect Duško Suvara, known as "Hans", born in 1971 in Livno.
The suspect is under investigation and is accused of, during the war and armed conflict in BiH, in the area of Glamoč municipality, as a member of the VRS, acting contrary to the provisions of the Geneva Conventions on the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War.
The suspect is accused of, in the area of Glamoč, armed, threatening the lives of victims and their family members, firing a firearm, forcibly taking victims from their homes and from their families, and committing multiple rapes and sexual abuses of women of Bosniak nationality, as well as torture, intimidation, and inhumane treatment of civilians of Bosniak nationality.
The suspect is accused of committing the criminal offense of war crimes against the civilian population under Article 173 of the Criminal Code of BiH.
After being apprehended, the suspect will be handed over to the acting prosecutor, who will question the suspect and then decide on further actions in the case.
