
SARAJEVO, (Patria) - State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) police officers today, in cooperation with police officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Una-Sana Canton, carried out an operational action codenamed "Tekila", in which five people were arrested.
SIPA announced that there are grounds for suspicion that these individuals have committed the criminal offense of "Unauthorized Production and Trafficking of Narcotic Drugs" under Article 238, Paragraph (2) of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
During the searches of individuals and premises at five locations in the Una-Sana Canton area, the following were found and temporarily seized: 1,122 grams of a powdery substance resembling the narcotic drug "speed", as well as 570 tablets resembling the narcotic drug "ecstasy", green plant matter resembling the narcotic drug marijuana, as well as mobile phones, digital scales, grinders for plant matter, a rifle, and ammunition.
The implementation of these activities was carried out under the coordination of the Una-Sana Canton Prosecutor's Office, and all arrested individuals will be handed over to the further jurisdiction of the acting prosecutor during the day.
More information about the results of this operational action will be known after the completion of the mentioned activities.
