SIPA discovered and seized 269 kilograms of cocaine in 2023

(Patria) - Police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency discovered and temporarily seized 269 kilograms of cocaine in 2023.

The seizures were carried out in four separate cases, and the drug was coming to Bosnia and Herzegovina from South America. Forensic examination determined that the cocaine was of high purity, ranging from 95%-99%, with an estimated market value of over EUR 30,000,000.00.

In relation to the documentation and clarification of the aforementioned cocaine seizures, the State Investigation and Protection Agency, under the supervision of the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, is carrying out all necessary investigative measures and actions in cooperation with international police agencies such as Interpol, Europol, DEA, and the Ministries of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Croatia and the Republic of Slovenia.
