SIPA detains three individuals for computer fraud

(Patria) - Police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) on 21.12.2022, in the area of Sarajevo and Derventa, carried out searches of residential and auxiliary buildings and movable property at six locations.

Three individuals were detained on suspicion of committing the criminal offenses of "Association for the Commission of Criminal Offenses" and "Computer Fraud" as prescribed by the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The detained individuals were handed over to the jurisdiction of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton after criminal processing and questioning as suspects.

During the search, IT and computer equipment and other items that may serve as evidence in criminal proceedings were discovered and temporarily seized.

These activities were carried out by order of the Cantonal Court in Sarajevo and under the supervision of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton in cooperation with police officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republika Srpska.
