SIPA checks if BiH citizens are participating in the Israeli battlefield

The State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) is checking whether citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina are fighting on the Israeli battlefield, or if any BiH citizens are fighting on the side of the Israeli army, reports the BiH news agency Patria (NAP).

In case SIPA proves that any BiH citizen is participating in the Israeli battlefield, such persons could face criminal charges.

Media in Bosnia and Herzegovina have reported that some Jews from Bosnia and Herzegovina are fighting on the side of the Israeli army in the aggression against Palestine, which, according to the laws of our country, would be strictly punishable.

Namely, the Law on Amendments to the Criminal Code of BiH, published in the Official Gazette of BiH, number: 47, Article 162b, prescribes the responsibility of BiH citizens for "Illegal formation and joining foreign paramilitary or paramilitary formations." The mentioned article describes the cases and conditions under which BiH citizens are responsible for joining and participating in foreign paramilitary or paramilitary formations.

- The State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) does not have information about the participation of BiH citizens on the battlefield in Israel, or about the participation of BiH citizens in the Israeli army, except for what has been recently published through various media. These pieces of information are subject to checks, and if their accuracy is confirmed, they will be promptly submitted to the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, and other measures and actions prescribed by law within the Agency's jurisdiction will be taken - confirmed SIPA to the Patria agency.

Since the beginning of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip on July 8 this year, a large number of Palestinians have been killed. In Gaza, there are more than 1,200 lives lost, including a large number of children, and more than 170,000 people who have been left homeless so far, writes NAP.
