SIPA to admit 20, DKPT 50 police officers, new competition in GP BiH for 150 cadets

(Patria) - The Council of Ministers of BiH, at the proposal of the Ministry of Security of BiH, adopted the Decision on determining the Plan for admitting cadets to police agencies at the level of institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2022.

The Decision determined the Plan for admitting cadets, namely to the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) 10 cadets for the rank of police officer and 10 cadets for the rank of junior inspector, to the Border Police (GP) of BiH 125 cadets for the rank of police officer and 25 cadets for the rank of junior inspector, and to the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies (DKPT) of BiH 50 cadets for the rank of police officer and five cadets for the rank of junior inspector.

Funds for the payment of cadet allowances and financing of employment will be provided in the budgets of police agencies at the BiH level, and other funds necessary for the training of cadets in the budget of the Agency for Education and Professional Training of Personnel.

We remind you that the Border Police of BiH conducted a competition for the admission of 150 cadets in 2021, and after the publication of the list in September 2021 and the arrest of the president of the Commission for the admission of cadets and several other persons due to corruption and rigging the competition, which resulted in an indictment against six persons, the final list was never published.

The Director of GP BiH, Zoran Galić, could not make a final decision until the Committee for Appeals of Police Officers made a decision. The Committee's decision is not to decide until the criminal proceedings are concluded.
