On the order of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, police officers of SIPA are conducting searches of certain premises that may be linked to individuals close to extremist groups and persons staying on foreign battlefields in Syria and Iraq.
The searches are being conducted with the aim of finding illegal weapons, ammunition or explosive materials, and certain individuals will be brought in for questioning.
The premises being searched are linked to a person who was deported to BiH from the Republic of Austria.
- The Prosecutor's Office of BiH, together with partner agencies in BiH and abroad, is undertaking continuous activities in the fight against the threat of terrorist activities.
In the interest of the investigation, at this moment we cannot provide more details to the public and the media - states the announcement of the Prosecutor's Office.
Media reports that the arrests are being carried out in the Sarajevo neighborhood of Buča Potok.
