(Patria) - Police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) yesterday (17.12.2025) executed a search of an apartment, auxiliary facilities, and movable property at one location in the Bihać area, acting on an oral order from the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina and under the supervision of the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
One person, a citizen of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, was arrested. After criminal processing and questioning as a suspect, they will be handed over to the further jurisdiction of the Service for Alien Affairs.
During the searches, items were discovered and temporarily confiscated that could serve as evidence of the criminal offenses of "Human Smuggling" and "Organizing a Group or Association for the Commission of the Criminal Offense of 'Smuggling of Migrants'" as prescribed by the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The operational action "Vega II" was carried out in cooperation with police officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Una-Sana Canton and officers of the Service for Alien Affairs.
