SIPA arrests criminals who killed in Zvornik, Ugljevik and Bijeljina

SIPA arrested ten people on Tuesday morning in Zvornik, Ugljevik and Bijeljina, suspected of war crimes in 1992 against Bosniak civilians, reports the BiH news agency Patria (NAP).

In the early 1990s, when the Serbian aggression from Croatia moved to the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina, some of the most horrific crimes against the Bosniak population were committed in the areas of Zvornik, Ugljevik and Bijeljina, after which the aggression would spread to the rest of BiH.

In Zvornik, Bijeljina and Ugljevik, thousands of Bosniaks were killed in just a few weeks by members of the Army of Republika Srpska, supported, and often led by criminals from Serbia, led by Željko Ražnatović Arkan, writes Patria.

The lives of Bosniaks, along with local Serbs, were controlled by "Arkan's men", "Yellow Wasps", "Pivari"..., who came to BiH from Serbia.

Images of dead Bosniaks from the streets of Bijeljina went around the world. Many indictments have been filed for these crimes so far before domestic and international courts, as well as before the War Crimes Court in Serbia, writes Patria.
