INTERPOL also searching for son of slain Mešinović in Syria

The International Criminal Police Organization INTERPOL, in addition to issuing warrants for criminals, is also intensively working on finding missing persons. Several missing BiH citizens are on INTERPOL's lists. Among them are people who went missing as early as 2001, and the most recent case in which INTERPOL is searching for a BiH citizen is the case of two-year-old Ismail Davud Mešinović, reports the Patria news agency.

As stated, little Davud went missing on December 15 last year in Italy, in Belluno. Although Davud was born in Italy, he is a citizen of BiH. His mother is Solano Herrera Lidia, while his father is Bosnian Ismar Mešinović, who was killed on the Syrian battlefield, and it is assumed that he took little Davud with him, as their mother had previously left them.

In addition to little Davud, INTERPOL is searching for five more persons missing from Bosnia and Herzegovina. Thus, on the list of missing persons are Jadranko Gabrić, Inga Perković, Asim Šiljković, Ivan Vegar, and Dijana Zelić.

Investigations into missing persons in BiH have been ongoing for too long and without significant results, so the search for Inga Perković has been ongoing for 13 years. Inga, then a 15-year-old, left the village of Potok near Livno on June 6, 2001, to get her student ID card and never returned.
