Father and son attacked police officers in Banja Luka, one man on the run

(Patria) - Radovan Jović and his son Mihajlo Jović from Banja Luka were arrested on suspicion of attacking and injuring a police inspector in the Banja Luka settlement of Starčevica, ATV has confirmed.

The police are searching for another man, whose identity is known.

As ATV learns, the drama began when, it is suspected, Mihajlo Jović hired a young man to smash the car of a girl with whom he had broken off a romantic relationship. When that man started to smash the vehicle, a plainclothes police inspector who happened to be there reacted. He drew his pistol and ordered the man to lie down and put his hands behind his back, which he did.

However, when the inspector started to handcuff him, Mihajlo Jović attacked him.

His father, Radovan Jović, also got involved in the conflict, and they inflicted bodily injuries on the inspector. They allegedly claimed they did not know he was an inspector. However, upon the arrival of a patrol, they also attacked them, after which they were arrested.

The man who was smashing the car fled and is being sought.
