Šeta: Lack of wisdom in SDA leadership has closed doors for many!

I am surprised by the timing of the poll on possible successors to President Sulejman Tihić, Abdulharis Šeta, former president of the SDA Sarajevo Cantonal Board, told the BH news agency Patria (NAP) exclusively.

Šeta won the most votes among possible candidates for the new SDA president in the poll conducted by FACE TV's Centralni dnevnik, receiving almost a quarter of all votes, far ahead of acting president Bakir Izetbegović.

However, this politician, who has not been active in party bodies or executive government for several years, says he warned earlier about the challenge the party is currently facing.

- I wanted to talk about this three years ago, when President Sulejman Tihić was in good health, but unfortunately, they didn't understand me – Šeta told NAP. According to him, that was the right time to think about changes in the party.

- It was the right time for the necessary decisions that held answers to many questions that are open today, and were a cure for the state of relations both within SDA and in our homeland. But, the lack of political wisdom and the conformism of many in the SDA leadership, and the postponement of an important congress refreshment, selfishly closed the doors for the engagement of many people with meaningful political thought – Šeta emphasized.

When asked about the support he received for his candidacy and his stance and plans, Šeta says:

- I would not comment on the poll results, and I am surprised by the list of candidates, as I know many who have been unjustly and unjustifiably overlooked.

Otherwise, Senad Hadžifejzović's television FACE TV also published new poll results on Saturday with the question "Who will be the new president of SDA?". Possible candidates for Tihić's successor are ranked as follows:

1. Abdulharis Šeta - 24%
2. Bakir Alispahić - 21%
3. Adil Osmanović - 17%
4. Šemsudin Mehmedović - 13%
5. Bakir Izetbegović - 12%
6. Denis Zvizdić - 6%
7. Asim Sarajlić - 6%
8. Sanjin Halimović - 1%
