Chetnik warlord Vojislav Šešelj will submit documentation for a new passport to the Ministry of Interior in Zemun on Monday, Serbian media report, according to the Patria news agency.
As he stated, this will begin "the restoration of rights that were taken away, which, after the first-instance acquittal, must be returned to him." This primarily refers to the possibility of traveling outside Serbia.
"The moment the judge said that Šešelj is free and that the warrant for his arrest becomes moot, he has the same rights as any other citizen. All documents must be returned to him," says his lawyer Toma Fila.
When asked where he will travel first, he says:
"I promised Kolindica that I would go to her first. I hear they said they would arrest me. I don't care what they say. And on what legal basis would they arrest me?" says the Chetnik warlord, Index reports.
