Šepić: As it started, with money for vaccines, we will pay Pfizer's court costs

(Patria) - The Independent Bloc calls on the Council of Ministers to stop misleading the public by shifting the blame for their incompetence onto everyone around them, including international pharmaceutical companies and the COVAX mechanism. The pandemic did not appear yesterday, and the Independent Bloc appealed back in August to change the existing legal regulations and to make preparations for vaccine procurement when they become available.

Busy trying to sabotage the elections, then with the election campaign, then with election theft, the parties that make up the government and their representatives in the Parliament and the Council of Ministers have done nothing to enter the vaccine procurement process prepared and save the lives of our citizens. Even now, they are trying to shift their blame onto vaccine manufacturers, the procurement mechanism, and even onto citizens and their reaction to the federal government's crime related to the import of respirators.

"Instead of dedicating themselves to finding solutions and doing their best to make up for lost time, Milorad Dodik, Zoran Tegeltija, Ankica Gudeljević, and others are shifting the blame onto Pfizer, Covax, and whoever else. This is a dangerous game with powerful companies and international institutions that we can neither afford in terms of time nor money, and as it has started, due to the incompetence and arrogance of our authorities, we could end up spending money for vaccines on court costs and damages to Pfizer and others," said the president of the Independent Bloc, Senad Šepić.
