Šepić: Discriminatory decision on fund allocation to municipalities must be urgently repealed

(Patria) - Yesterday's decision by the FBiH Government on the allocation of funds to cantons and municipalities for assistance during the coronavirus pandemic is an unacceptable and unforgivable "gaffe" by the parties forming the Government of the Federation of BiH.

The Independent Bloc demands the urgent repeal of such a poor and discriminatory decision, and requests that it be made based on transparent and fair criteria that are measurable and that the public can understand and accept.

"The worst thing that could happen in times of crisis is for the authorities to create divisions among people, cities, regions, based on their own party and interest grounds. This decision has clearly done that and it has rightly caused dissatisfaction among many across the FBiH," stated the president of the Independent Bloc, Senad Šepić.

We remind that this decision is not the only one, and that the FBiH Government made a similar, unacceptable move 20 days ago, when it distributed 30 million KM to healthcare institutions in the FBiH, and not a single KM went to Zenica, Bihać or Travnik. This practice must stop, and the Independent Bloc expects most MPs, regardless of party affiliation, to support such a proposal and demand the annulment of the existing one, and the adoption of a new decision that will help citizens, and not create divisions among them in such difficult times that we are all going through.
