Senad Bratić and Nedim Čivić are Dodik's accomplices in adopting a Putin-style law

Emir Suljagić, former coordinator of the First March coalition, now a member of the Presidency of the Democratic Front, reacted to the latest developments regarding the adoption of the Law on Public Order and Peace, which was also voted for by some delegates of the Homeland coalition in the National Assembly of Republika Srpska (NSRS), reports the bh. news agency Patria.

Suljagić stated that for everything the Homeland coalition does, "the bill is presented to him personally".

- Therefore, I want to first condemn the irresponsible actions of certain deputies in the NSRS, who sided with Milorad Dodik's 'majority' on the path of restricting human rights and civil liberties. At the same time, I emphasize that it is hypocritical to justify support with the triumphant headline 'we fought for the adhan', as if the call to prayer for members of the Islamic faith is something that falls within the scope of Milorad Dodik's regime and something that he needs to and can allow or prohibit.

With populist argumentation, according to which we should be happy that, lo and behold, the adhan can now pass without punishment, Senad Bratić and Nedim Čivić have placed themselves on the front line of defense of a law that the entire civilized world has condemned. However, I am pleased to see that not a single relevant representative of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) in the RS region agrees with this legal solution, let alone with the public defense of Dodik's 'civic' engagement. I consider the behavior of deputies who supported Dodik's Putin-style law to be unbelievable, and I further justify this support for the introduction of a totalitarian regime with some invisible interests of returnees.

The submissive behavior led by Senad Bratić, who incidentally would not exist if "First March" had not agreed on a joint appearance in the politically deeply divided returnee community in the Prijedor region, has long been unacceptable. It is clear that the endangerment of freedom of assembly represents the final blow to human rights in this entity. Pavić's local gendarmes invoked this law when they banned the gathering of Prijedor victims, and the special forces who drove the mothers of Srebrenica away from the Agricultural Cooperative in Kravica invoked this law. Forty-six hands in the NSRS have only strengthened the regime's firm fist, and all of Dodik's accomplices should be listed as a lesson for future various "decisive" elections.
