Semir Rastoder sentenced to 5 years and 6 months in prison for the murder of Hava Dovadžija

The Cantonal Court in Sarajevo sentenced Semir Rastoder to five years and six months in prison for a serious criminal offense, namely a traffic accident in which Hava Šljivić-Dovadžija was fatally injured on April 1, 2014, the mother of two young children, reports the Patria News Agency.

He was also banned from driving a motor vehicle for three years. On that fateful night of April 1, Rastoder hit Hava Šljivić-Dovadžija with his car on a pedestrian crossing in Nedžarići, driving from the direction of Ilidža, and killed her at the scene.

Shortly after this event with tragic consequences, Rastoder was arrested, but soon released, which caused great unrest among citizens who organized a protest rally at the scene of the accident, attended by more than 2,000 citizens.

During the six-month process, numerous witnesses, experts, and neuropsychiatrists were heard, and the entire case received its epilogue with today's verdict for Rastoder, N1 reports.
