Selman's fraud failed: Government unanimously rejected Lukač's appointment

At today's session of the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the final proposal of the Independent Board for the appointment of Dragan Lukač as head of the Federal Police Administration was unanimously rejected, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

As a source from the FBiH Government told Patria, the proposal was rejected because the legal prerequisites for its consideration were not met.

- Now a new competition must be held under the Law on Internal Affairs that has entered into force. Everything else is abuse - says our source.

We recall that the competition for the head of the FUP was announced on October 1 under the old Law on Internal Affairs of the FBiH, but during the competition period, the new law came into force on October 11, which is why both the FBiH Government and the Security Commission of the FBiH Parliament concluded that the competition must be re-announced and the procedure carried out under the new law.

However, under the new law, the president of the Independent Board, Sead Selman, is also in a conflict of interest and could not even be a member of the Board, let alone its chairman, so it is clear why he used all means to push through Lukač's appointment.
