Sefić in extradition custody for 15 days: It is still unknown when he will be extradited to BiH judiciary

Although the Higher Court in Novi Sad received a request last week for the extradition of suspect Sanjin Sefić, who has been in custody since October 11, the pre-trial judge has not yet submitted the case to the non-trial panel of this court, confirmed Ivana Karapandžić, spokesperson for the Higher Court in Novi Sad, for Patria.

We remind you that on October 10, Sefić, driving at high speed and running a red light, hit two female students at a pedestrian crossing near the Historical Museum with his car, who died from their injuries. The very next morning, Sefić crossed into Serbia at the Uvac border crossing, where he was apprehended and placed in extradition custody.

Standard extradition custody lasts a minimum of 18 and a maximum of 40 days. The final decision on extradition is made by the Ministry of Justice of Serbia, after which the interpols of the two countries agree on the date and place of extradition.

Otherwise, the Cantonal Court in Sarajevo will today again consider the proposal of the KS Prosecutor's Office to order custody for Sefić's four accomplices, including his sister Sara.
