Hezbollah Chief: Israel Crossed Red Lines, This is a Declaration of War

(Patria) - Deadly Israeli attacks in which Hezbollah walkie-talkies and pagers exploded have crossed all red lines, said today Hassan Nasrallah, leader of the Lebanese movement supported by Iran.

During his televised address, buildings in Beirut shook from the flyover of Israeli military aircraft.

Lebanon and Hezbollah blame Israel for attacks on Hezbollah's communication equipment in which 37 people were killed and about 3,000 injured.

Israel has not directly commented on the attacks, which security sources say were likely carried out by the Mossad intelligence agency.

- There is no doubt that we have been subjected to a major security and military blow that is unprecedented in the history of resistance and unprecedented in the history of Lebanon - Nasrallah said in a televised address, recorded at an unknown location.

Appearing in front of a red background in his usual black turban, he stated that this type of killing, targeting, and crime may be unprecedented in the world.

- The attacks have crossed all red lines. The enemy has gone beyond all control, law, and morality - Nasrallah pointed out, adding that the attacks "can be considered war crimes or a declaration of war".

As his speech was broadcast, the deafening sounds of Israeli military aircraft breaking the sound barrier shook Beirut.
