Customs Chief in Zvornik: Dacić Arrested While Collecting Marked Money

Acting on the order of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH and a court warrant, police officers of SIPA deprived the suspect Dacić Šefkija, born in 1959, of his liberty in the Sarajevo area.

- The suspect, who is the head of the Zvornik Customs Office, was deprived of his liberty while taking over illegal property gain, in marked banknotes, in order to abuse his position to favor the return of certain items seized in a customs offense, including a motor vehicle, to the perpetrator of the offense. In the decisive action of the prosecutor's offices and SIPA, the suspect was discovered and prevented – said the Prosecutor's Office of BiH.

The acting prosecutor will interrogate the suspect during the day and will then make a decision on further activities in accordance with the law.
