Seven people died of hunger since yesterday in Gaza

(Patria) - A total of seven people have died of "hunger and malnutrition" in the last 24 hours, the Gaza Ministry of Health announced.

These deaths bring the total number of famine-related victims in the Gaza Strip, where the UN has declared an official famine, to 339, including 124 children, the ministry stated.

According to Al Jazeera, mothers are malnourished and therefore unable to breastfeed their children. As a result, most mothers have to give their babies formula.

However, what is currently available in Gaza is either extremely expensive or has expired. Because of this, most mothers are giving their babies only water to make them feel full.

They know it is neither nutritious nor healthy, but they have no other choice. Mothers sadly watch their children become malnourished before their eyes.
