Sebija Izetbegović handed over Zagreb index to Sarajevo Cantonal Prosecutor's Office by court order

(Patria) – The Director of the University Clinical Center Sarajevo and professor at the Faculty of Medicine of UNSA, Sebija Izetbegović, today handed over her index to the Sarajevo Cantonal Prosecutor's Office, her lawyer Senka Nožica confirmed to Patria.

The Sarajevo Cantonal Prosecutor's Office also confirmed that the index was handed over to them.

"The order of the Municipal Court in Sarajevo has been executed," said Azra Bavčić, spokesperson for the Sarajevo Cantonal Prosecutor's Office.

The Sarajevo Cantonal Prosecutor's Office requested the Court to provide Izetbegović's index from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Zagreb, which Izetbegović publicly displayed on television a few days ago. Although she claims that all exams and grades are recorded with professors' signatures, the University of Zagreb provided an official document to the Rector of UNSA, Rifat Škrijelj, stating that they cannot confirm the authenticity of that index and its content.

Regarding the decision of the Senate of the University of Sarajevo, which yesterday adopted the analysis of the Commission that verified the authenticity of the documents related to postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Sarajevo of Prof. Dr. Sebija Izetbegović, with a proposal for further action, obliging the Rector of the University of Sarajevo to issue a Decision on the annulment of enrollment and the master's title, Nožica stated that she cannot comment on this yet.

After Sebija Izetbegović officially receives this decision from the Senate through the Faculty of Medicine in Sarajevo, she and her legal team will decide on further legal steps.

As Rector Rifat Škrijelj stated yesterday, no appeal is allowed against this decision, but legal proceedings can be initiated before the competent court.

Professor Izetbegović announced yesterday, even before the decision of the UNSA Senate, that she would file criminal charges against Rector Škrijelj, as well as against the members of the Commission who verified the documentation and prepared the analysis and proposal for further action.
