SDP closes all accounts at Hypo Bank, on the side of 10,000 families in debt slavery

Irfan Čengić, Secretary General of SDP BiH, published a comment on his Facebook profile, which the Patria News Agency conveys in its entirety.

- I received an email from Hypo Bank inviting SDP BiH to vote against the law that will enable the conversion of loans in Swiss francs.

Today I signed a decision by which SDP BiH will close all accounts in this bank, and in accordance with the earlier positions of the Main Board, SDP will support the law that saves about 10,000 families in BiH from debt slavery. Unfortunately, 23 loan beneficiaries of this bank have committed suicide, and we do not want to allow this to happen to other citizens. We social democrats will always be on the side of citizens, not foreign banks, Čengić said.
