SDP: By appointing Lukač, the establishment of a police force that will work on the orders of the SDA and HDZ has been enabled

At the eighth session of the Presidency of the SDP BiH, a proposal for the Rulebook on holding elections for the president of municipal/city, cantonal/regional organizations of the SDP BiH was adopted, which will be forwarded to the Main Board for adoption, while the proposal for the Rulebook on holding elections for the President of the SDP BiH, after additional consultations, will be adopted subsequently, reports the Patria news agency. 

Members of the Presidency strongly condemned the decision of the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina to appoint Dragan Lukač as director of the FBiH Police Administration, which legalized legal violence and enabled the establishment of a party police force that will work on the orders of criminalized party elites. SDP officials will use all means to return the police to serving citizens and fighting crime, rather than fabricating processes against political rivals.

With this decision, the new FBiH Government has shown that its primary goal is the privatization of public services and their subordination to party objectives, which is also evidenced by the decision allowing the return to work of Martin Frančešević, who is directly responsible for causing millions of euros in damage to the FBiH budget in the process of issuing thousands of false certificates based on which rights in the area of veteran and disability protection were realized, and against whom six criminal charges have been filed, skillfully hidden in court drawers by his political sponsors.

Following the well-established pattern of plunder orchestrated by the SDA - HDZ, at the expense of true defenders of this state and all other citizens, this is merely a continuation of the unpatriotic policy and ethnonational division of political spoils by these two parties. The sooner such a Government leaves the scene, the better it will be for all who want BiH to become a state governed by the rule of law, rather than a private fiefdom of party power brokers.

Members of the Presidency of the SDP BiH called on the parties of the new ruling coalition to form authorities as soon as possible in the Central Bosnia, Herzegovina-Neretva, and Livno cantons, because it is obvious that they are unable to seriously tackle concrete problems, which will most affect the lives of citizens in these cantons.

The recent decision of the Islamic Community in Bugojno not to allow a memorial plaque to be placed at the Partisan Cemetery in that town for fallen fighters in World War II was also condemned, which, together with recent cases in Stolac and Bileća, indicates that the anti-fascist achievements in our country, on which modern BiH was founded, are seriously threatened, the SDP BiH announced.
