SDP BiH: Ruling coalition sacrificed NATO path for party control over OSA

Regarding the false claims by leaders of the ruling SDA-SBB-HDZ coalition that SDP is blocking BiH's progress in Euro-Atlantic integration with populist policies, we want to state that SDP only wants and will do everything to block further ethnic division of BiH and its distancing from the values on which the EU and NATO are based, it was announced from SDP BiH, reports the BiH news agency Patria (NAP).

It is precisely the SDA – SBB – HDZ coalition, according to this party, aided by the Alliance for Changes at the state level, that sacrificed the almost activated MAP, as the last step towards BiH's full membership in NATO.

- This was done exclusively due to the desire to establish full party control over the Intelligence-Security Agency of BiH. Instead of BiH firmly standing under the security umbrella of NATO, selfish personal interest was chosen with the desire to thus ensure the protection of several individuals due to their past criminal activities. The ruling coalition has clearly shown that for the sake of a few suspicious party leaders, it is ready to sacrifice all citizens and gamble dangerously with the future of BiH – the SDP BiH statement reads.

This party states that they remind the leaders of the new coalition in FBiH that all public investments in FBiH have been halted in the past year solely due to their struggle over occupying positions in the most profitable companies.

- The government led by SDP built 20 kilometers of highway annually between 2011 and 2014, invested more than 200 million KM in mines, and increased pensions twice – SDP states.

- The current government is not even capable of properly opening highway sections that were started and built by the previous government, and only such a government can open a highway, only for traffic jams to become even larger afterwards. They haven't invested a single mark in mines yet, and they pay pensions from credit debt, while not even thinking about increasing pensions. All this has brought us "Bosniak unity" in which the HDZ and its president Dragan Čović call the shots.

The draft budget of FBiH for 2016 does not plan a single mark for the implementation of the Law on Combating Corruption and Organized Crime, which is in force and for which representatives of the currently ruling parties also voted.

It is clear that they are not interested in the fight against corruption and organized crime, because they know that many among them would have to answer for their actions if this law began to be applied. Instead of money necessary for an effective fight against crime and corruption, the SDA-SBB-HDZ coalition has increased the amount of money that the President of FBiH, Marinko Čavara, can distribute as he wishes, to whom he wishes, without any criteria, by 100 percent, and this is from a villa where he intends to move himself and his cabinet.

We in SDP will always be opponents and in opposition to such a government, and the fairy tales about how the policies of the current government are accelerating BiH's path to the EU and NATO can be told by the leaders of the ruling parties only to themselves, because with everything they do in practice, they are only pushing BiH backwards. An attempt at further division is underway, primarily of FBiH along national lines, which would be a fatal blow to our homeland BiH. SDP will always fight against such a government and such policies, because it is our political and patriotic duty – the SDP statement reads, reports Patria.
