SDP BiH demands a law on strategic investments and the establishment of a Reconstruction and Development Bank from Zvizdić

The Social Democratic Party of BiH demands that the Council of Ministers of BiH, and especially its Chairman Denis Zvizdić, urgently and without delay submit the Law on Strategic Investors/Investments in BiH to the parliamentary procedure and make a Decision on the establishment of the Reconstruction and Development Bank of BiH, reports Patria News Agency.

These are precisely Denis Zvizdić's two priority promises in the area of attracting foreign investment in BiH, which have not only not been fulfilled, but the Council of Ministers has not even started working on them.

We agree with Chairman Zvizdić's assessments of the decline in investments and the need for action, which he stated upon taking office, and we add that this decline has become particularly evident in the last two years, when all infrastructure works have been halted. To solve this, evidently, big problem, it is not enough to just promise something, but also to fulfill the promise.

We also agree with and support the sustainable and balanced economic development of BiH, which would be one of the results of the Bank's work, and we ask when activities on this issue will begin and what the Council of Ministers is doing, besides talking, to make it actually happen. At the same time, we support legally framing the simplification and acceleration of the process of obtaining the necessary documentation for the realization of investments, but we ask when a concrete bill will see the light of day.

The SDP, as a state-building, currently opposition party, has never been, nor will it be, an opponent of the state's interests, nor an adversary of good ideas, but we are and always will be opponents of those who waste our time and the time of our children with deceptions and unfulfilled promises, and whose work has little effect.

We remind the Chairman of the Council of Ministers that upon taking office, he also promised political stability, the establishment of a National Security Council, numerous strategies and action plans, strengthening of institutions, equality of citizens, and many other things which we will regularly remind him of.

We expect those who received the citizens' trust in the last elections to fulfill their promises, because one cannot live on empty talk.
