SDP BiH reacts to Grlić Radman's new outburst, address the rise of neo-fascism in Croatia

SARAJevo, (Patria) - On the occasion of the latest outburst and diplomatic incident orchestrated by the highest officials of the Government of neighboring Republic of Croatia, SDP BiH calls on the Prime Minister and President of this country to issue an apology to the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The visit of the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia, Gordan Grlić Radman, was rife with diplomatic scandals and conduct unworthy of statesmen who allegedly promote interstate understanding and good neighborly relations.

Statements about the internal structure of BiH, along with assessments of what the Republic of Croatia can or "cannot allow" in BiH, constitute direct interference in the internal affairs of our country. Grlić Radman's statements are a reminder of Croatia's ongoing aggressive policy and the persistence of this country's authorities in undermining BiH's sovereignty.

In BiH, all citizens must achieve full equality, including Bosnian-Herzegovinian Croats, in every corner of their homeland. As a country that provides refuge to convicts and suspects of the worst crimes committed in BiH, and treats them as honorary citizens, the Republic of Croatia cannot make assessments about equality.

Croatia cannot lecture on morality, ethics, and human rights. In particular, our neighbors have no right to interfere in the internal affairs of BiH. We are particularly referring to the qualification of this country's past actions in BiH, determined by an international court ruling, a ruling that also concerns the suffering of the city where this scandalous visit took place.

It is particularly shameful that Grlić Radman delivered the message about endangerment, equality, and the need to protect the legal order from the location of the illegally constructed monument to the so-called. Victims of Bleiburg, a symbol of unconstitutional action.

We remind Grlić Radman that the construction of the monument, which was the central location of his visit, directly violated and endangered a BiH national monument of zero category and a UNESCO-protected monument, the necropolis of stećci Radimlja. By constructing the illegal monument to the so-called. Victims of Bleiburg on a BiH national monument, Annex 8 of the Dayton Agreement, which Grlić Radman so "ardently" advocates for from this location, was directly violated.

Finally, we call on Grlić Radman and the Government of the Republic of Croatia to address the rise of neo-fascism in the public sphere in Croatia and the growing concern for the rights of minority groups in his country. These are minority groups that are becoming increasingly scarce in Croatia, while Croatia allegedly advocates for equality in BiH. With all the evident problems we have in BiH, we least need so-called. caregivers who, by their behavior, add "fuel to the fire," consciously introducing additional discord and unrest among our citizens. As much as people like Grlić Radman may wish it were not so, BiH is and will remain a sovereign, integral, anti-fascist, European state of all its citizens and peoples.
