After the Presidency of the Social Democratic Party of BiH discussed the issue of loans in Swiss francs for BiH citizens at its last session and adopted a conclusion to try to help associations and citizens affected by this issue, today in Sarajevo, SDP BiH President Nermin Nikšić held a meeting with representatives of the Association of Swiss Franc Loan Users, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.
The topic of the meeting was a joint model for resolving this issue, as well as the future action of SDP BiH in legislative bodies on this matter. It was agreed at the meeting that SDP BiH representatives in state and entity legislative bodies will submit to parliamentary procedure legislative proposals aimed at resolving the issue of users of these loans.
The legislative solutions would be similar to those already applied in Croatia and Montenegro, and would include the conversion of loans from Swiss francs to euros.
At the end of the meeting, the unequivocal support of SDP BiH and President Nikšić for efforts to resolve the issue of citizens burdened by these loans was reiterated, and other political entities in BiH were called upon to support future legislative solutions in legislative bodies, which will lead to a final resolution of the problem of users of loans in Swiss francs.
