SDP BiH against the sale of state-owned companies

Bihać hosted the Program Convention of the Social Democratic Party of BiH, where the Election Program and candidates of the Bihać City Organization for the local City Council were presented to gathered members and supporters. One part of the SDP's Election Program discusses how the economic potential of most municipalities should be reflected in the establishment of public-private partnerships, as well as the possibility of accessing funds from European Union sources, it was announced, Patria reports.

- SDP BiH believes that this can be utilized primarily through the further development of local communities' own capacities for attracting investments, project development, and project documentation.

Nermin Nikšić, president of SDP BiH, stated in his speech that the current ruling coalition is indebted to BiH citizens for one billion KM to the International Monetary Fund, while no one knows what BiH is committing to.

- The IMF loan is not a gift. We will receive that money if we meet certain conditions. What are those conditions? Have the authorities decided to sell telecoms and Elektroprivreda? There is no clear explanation anywhere. Now they want to non-transparently sell Sarajevo osiguranje. That is the largest insurance company in BiH, which achieves good business results. The FBiH Government, in a telephone session, makes a decision to sell state shares in this company on the stock exchange and does not publish that decision anywhere. There is no analysis of why and how, at what price? Well, that is the height of non-transparency. However, it is also expected, because this government only functions on the principle of trading - added Nikšić.

Hajrudin Havić, president of the Cantonal Board of SDP BiH USK and SDP candidate for mayor of Bihać, emphasized that he is ready to tackle the problems that have plagued the citizens of this city for years.

- I am ready for all the challenges that this candidacy brings. The incompetent local government in this city has made Bihać a city of chance in four years. During that time, Bihać has stagnated, and our fellow citizens feel that best. SDP plans to turn Bihać into a city of the future, which will be the backbone of the development of the entire region - stated Havić.

Fatka Kulenović, president of the SDP Bihać City Organization, during the presentation of this organization's Election Program, also presented the list of candidates for the City Council.

- Our list includes candidates who show great enthusiasm and love for our city. These are responsible people who want what is best for this city and will prove it through their council work. During the promotion of our Program, we will visit all parts of Bihać, in order to best promote the values we stand for to the citizens - said Kulenović.

At the Program Convention, gathered supporters and members were also addressed by the General Secretary of SDP BiH Irfan Čengić and the President of the Main Board of SDP BiH Saša Magazinović.
