SARAJEVO, (Patria) - A meeting of Bosniak representatives in RS with SDP President Nermin Nikšić and SDP Vice President Vojin Mijatović was held at the SDP Headquarters.
It was agreed that a meeting with the Prime Minister of FBiH, Fadil Novalić, would also be held. They called on the BiH Presidency member Milorad Dodik to de-escalate tensions.
Nikšić stated that several topics were opened at the meeting.
"We will support the inclusion of two percent for returnees to RS in the FBiH budget. We talked about the implementation of these funds; it is most ethical for them to create a program or a fund. The operationalization of the Movement for BiH and preparations for the upcoming elections were also an unavoidable topic. This would be the third bloc in the elections in RS. It could have a decisive influence on who will be in power in RS. We could not ignore the current political situation and Milorad Dodik's statements. Citizens in RS are not falling for this and do not support such rhetoric, but everyone must be concerned because the man has lost his compass," Nikšić emphasized.
He added that Dodik is ready for conflicts to preserve his position.
"We want to invite all citizens in BiH not to fall for these stories. We, as SDP, will do everything to intervene with the High Representative, the EU ambassadors, and inform all witnesses of Dayton," Nikšić said.
According to him, it is necessary to stop the political madness in BiH.
When asked about the accordion player in the BiH Presidency, Nikšić said that Dodik can do whatever he wants at home.
"I managed to notice that he sent an official vehicle for the accordion player. He shows that he does not deserve the position, and it is a disgrace for BiH. His statements and provocations are aimed at seeking a reaction and radicalization on the political scene in BiH. According to the Constitution and the law, a member of the BiH Presidency can be removed if they do not attend a third of the sessions. That's why he attends the sessions. We cannot bring drums there to drown him out. If it weren't so sad, everyone here would be holding their stomachs from laughter," Nikšić emphasized.
Speaking about the reaction of the 'trojka' (the three parties), Nikšić said that it is important to show that they do not accept radicalism.
"Everything should be done to show, by calming down and de-escalating tensions, that BiH can function even in these conditions. The formation of the Army of RS is not realistic, and that is also a job for the competent authorities. I hope they will do their job. Unfortunately, we cannot resolve this within the institutions. But we also have problems in the judiciary, and we cannot always expect a quality approach. I think this is Dodik's last gasp, and he is aware of it too," Nikšić stated.
Speaking about the distribution of revenues in FBiH, Nikšić said that the law was adopted in draft form.
"It is not a good basis for drafting the proposal, but if we had not adopted it, this issue would never have been raised. An SDP conclusion was adopted, which requests the Government of FBiH to create a new comprehensive law on revenue distribution within 60 days. We have formed our expert group that will work on the new text of the law in the coming period," Nikšić explained.
