SDP BiH strongly condemns the attack on the Memišević spouses

(Patria) - The Social Democratic Party of Bosnia and Herzegovina strongly condemns the attack on the Memišević spouses in the village of Omeragići near Višegrad. Innocent people were robbed and suffered serious bodily injuries, by perpetrators currently unknown.

"Spouses Fadil and Ajša Memišević are among the first returnees to this part of Bosnia and Herzegovina. For years, they have diligently lived off their work and have not posed any problems to anyone, let alone a danger. Of course, they represent a danger to those who do not want coexistence, to those who hate everything else and different, because they are an example of people who do not want to leave their homes. Such attacks are always unacceptable, but this one is even more heinous because it was carried out during the month of Ramadan.

We call on the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the police of Republika Srpska to urgently shed light on this brutal attack, find the perpetrators who should be brought to justice and receive the harshest penalties. Only in this way can a message be sent to some similar robbers that such deeds will be sanctioned, and to the returnees to this part of Bosnia and Herzegovina, to restore a sense of security and faith that the state will protect them to some extent," they state.
