SDA: Only a decisive reaction from the international community can prevent the destabilisation of BiH

The Steering Board of the Peace Implementation Council correctly noted the situation regarding the anti-Dayton and anti-constitutional referendum in the RS. However, a concrete decision was missing, which at this moment is expected, namely the annulment of the decision of the National Assembly of the RS on holding the referendum scheduled for 25 September, the suspension of all activities undertaken so far in its implementation, and the sanctioning of those responsible, the SDA stated, as reported by the Patria news agency. 

At a time when the decision to hold the referendum is leading BiH into a state of destabilisation, it is not enough to merely note things; decisive action is necessary. Therefore, we expect the OHR, without waiting for the activities of domestic institutions, to fulfil its Dayton obligation and make the above-mentioned decision.

A decisive reaction from the international community at this moment should serve as a warning that any anti-Dayton activity will not be tolerated and that the European, NATO, and reform path of BiH has no alternative, the statement reads.
