SDA: Horrific message from Croatia and encouraging reaction of young people

(Patria) - The decision of the Catholic Church and the University of Zagreb to organize a lecture by convicted war criminal Dario Kordić represents the grossest violation of moral and
civilizational norms, according to the reaction of the Party of Democratic Action.

"It is terrifying and disgusting that a person who ordered the execution of innocent civilians
gives lectures to young people, organized by an educational institution and a religious
community that should promote moral and religious values, not affirm a criminal legacy.

The question arises why the Church and the University are trying to make a war criminal
a role model for young people, and why they are sending a horrific message to the victims in Ahmići, precisely
before the anniversary of the massacre. A man who ordered the killing and burning of babies just a few months old, along with
their mothers, should not be a role model for anyone, especially not for young people. Therefore, the just reaction of young people and parts of the public in Croatia who opposed the glorification of the criminal is encouraging.

This gives hope for the possibility that civilizational values that condemn crime and stand in defense of victims will prevail, which is the only way to improve relations and build trust among peoples, as well as relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and
Croatia," the SDA statement reads.
