SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The SDA Collegium, at its session held today, adopted conclusions regarding the coronavirus pandemic in BiH, the first being that the Council of Ministers, entity and cantonal governments, the Government of Brčko District of BiH, and other institutions should urgently and timely take measures within their jurisdiction to suppress the epidemic caused by coronavirus.
"Among other things, we believe it is necessary to consider closing BiH borders to foreign nationals, and selectively banning the export of food products and medicines. We call on the Council of Ministers, entity, cantonal governments, and the Government of Brčko District to urgently adopt measures to mitigate the consequences of the epidemic on the operations of business entities and their employees.
Among other things, we believe it is necessary to postpone VAT payments until the end of next month as soon as possible, to allow for the reprogramming of loan repayments for legal and natural persons whose operations are threatened, and to establish guarantee funds at the level of BiH, FBiH, and cantons."
The SDA explained that the changes in the composition of the Central Election Commission of BiH were made in accordance with the law and were necessary because the chairman and some members of the CEC had been blocking the appointment procedure for members whose mandates had long expired.
The formation of the Bosniak bloc of SDA, SBB, and DF in the current political circumstances has proven to be justified and necessary as a response to institutional blockades and threatening crises. Due to the importance of this bloc's actions, it is necessary to preserve trust and cooperation based on the principle of making all decisions with full consensus, concluded the SDA Collegium.
