SDA demands urgent payment of miners' salaries

SARAJevo, (Patria) - SDA demands that the relevant ministry, the Government of FBiH, Elektroprivreda BiH, and mine managements intensify their efforts and enable the urgent payment of earned salaries to miners. 

"The newly emerged crisis in the lignite mines of Zenica and Breza shows the urgent need for systemic reforms to make the mines' operations profitable and productive. 

Tax collection, in accordance with legal obligations, must not be jeopardized. No one can be exempt from this obligation, but the system's institutions must show sensitivity and find a solution that will enable tax collection, while ensuring that major social upheavals and the endangerment of business entities' operations are avoided," the SDA announced.
