SDA: We welcome the opposition's conclusions, but the current situation requires unity, not division

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - SDA welcomes the conclusions of the opposition parties from the Federation of BiH acting in the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH regarding the protection and strengthening of state institutions and the activities that need to be undertaken in this regard.

"These conclusions are in line with the common positions of SDA President Bakir Izetbegović and SDP President Nermin Nikšić, defined in earlier discussions, as well as the publicly proclaimed positions of most parties from the pro-Bosnian bloc.

SDA remains firm in its stance that the pro-Bosnian bloc must be completely united in opposing the secessionist policy of SNSD, as well as in activities towards our friends in the international community, who are showing new determination in supporting Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The current situation requires a unified, mature approach, as well as coordination on all important issues. There should be no divisions, rigid attitudes, or mistrust within the pro-Bosnian bloc, nor in relation to our friends in the international community. We must not allow a repeat of the situation we had during the fall of the April Package.

There should be no division between the government and the opposition in protecting the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina and its institutions. In fateful issues for our homeland Bosnia and Herzegovina, which concern not only the current generation but also the generations of our children and grandchildren, all party interests must be set aside.

SDA therefore expects the entire political pro-Bosnian bloc, the academic and media community, every individual from the homeland and the diaspora who can contribute, together with our friends in the world, to undertake coordinated joint activities to achieve compromises that will lead to the stabilization and protection and strengthening of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina," the SDA announced.
