SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Party of Democratic Action warned that the blockade of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, carried out by some political parties, is illegal and extremely detrimental to the interests of BiH.
The start of the work of the houses of the PA BiH, which is not possible without the formation of parliamentary committees, awaits 25 draft laws, 35 international agreements, and over a hundred other various acts prepared by the Council of Ministers.
The Parliamentary Assembly of BiH costs taxpayers 62,398 KM every working day, the SDA announced.
"It is inappropriate and condemnable that this money is being spent, that enormously high salaries are being paid, while representatives and delegates are doing nothing because they are not enabled to perform the function entrusted to them by the citizens," the party stated.
The SDA reminds that the legal deadline for forming committees expired four months ago. The blockade of the Parliament, or any state institution, is an unconstitutional act, and political goals will not be achieved through such blackmail.
Therefore, the SDA calls on all political actors to immediately proceed with the formation of parliamentary committees and thus enable the functioning of both houses of Parliament.
