SDA: Attacks on the Islamic Community are an attempt to silence those defending the state

SARAJevo, (Patria) - The campaign waged by the RS entity authorities and the HDZ BiH against the Islamic Community and Bosniaks is strongly reminiscent of the campaign from the early 1990s, which was a prelude to brutal aggression against Bosnia and Herzegovina, ethnic cleansing, and systematic mass crimes culminating in genocide, the SDA announced.

The statement notes that it is particularly indicative that followers of policies convicted of genocide and ethnic cleansing, i.e., a joint criminal enterprise, whose goal during the aggression was the division of Bosnia and Herzegovina, are participating in this synchronized attack.

"Systematic attacks on the Rais al-Ulama Husein ef. Kavazović and the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina are an attempt to shift the responsibility for their anti-state actions and threatening chauvinistic rhetoric onto those who are protecting Bosnia and Herzegovina, its sovereignty, territorial integrity, and institutions, by changing the subject.

They know very well that the Islamic Community had and has an honorable role, that it did not initiate or encourage the horrific crimes committed during the war, nor did it bless their perpetrators, just as it did not protect and celebrate criminals after the war, justify crimes, and advocate for Greater-state projects. Those who are now accusing Reis Kavazović are the ones who did and are doing these things.

The stance of Rais al-Ulama Kavazović that Bosnian-Herzegovinian patriots will defend the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and then the state, by all means, including weapons, is a fact. Only those who wish to attack, divide, or undermine the institutions of this state can treat the statement that someone will defend their own country as a threat.

Dodik and the HDZ BiH will not achieve self-censorship or waver the patriots ready to preserve their own country with such attacks, nor can they hide their responsibility for undermining it.

The silence of the so-called 'troika' in all of this is devastating and worrying. It shows that among the parties that position themselves as pro-Bosnian, unfortunately, there are those for whom the favor of coalition partners takes precedence over the defense of state and religious institutions.

Such a stance is not surprising, given that the 'troika' parties themselves often join synchronized attacks on the Islamic Community," the SDA stated.
