SDA: Kasumović is a manipulator hindering the investigation into his own crimes

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - After the Mayor of Zenica, Fuad Kasumović, accused the SDA of being behind everything, and of other things, in his first public address after his arrest, the Zenica branch of the Party of Democratic Action responded. They accused the Mayor of Zenica of "making himself a victim through lies and manipulation".

- He misused the City Council podium today to once again attack the judicial institutions, and with nonsensical statements, the Party of Democratic Action as well. The difficulty in prosecuting high-level corruption cases is evident in this case, where the mayor is using all possible means, including levers of power, to obstruct the investigation and directly influence the judiciary. The conclusion of the City Council, voted on by the councilors of the majority led by his political party, supports this. If he is making accusations and insinuations, it would be good for him to publicly state the full names of the individuals who supposedly told him all this. Since he calls himself a 'moral vertical', it would also be nice for him to explain to the public where he got millions in his account, numerous properties, and gas stations, despite having spent his entire working life in public service receiving a salary from the budget. Let him also explain the audit report according to which he increased the value and paid for public works to companies close to him personally and his associates by up to one and a half thousand percent. Everything else is manipulation, misleading the public, and influencing the work of the judiciary," stated the SDA Zenica.

We remind you that Kasumović stated today in the Zenica City Council that during his detention, he received an offer from the SDA to "resign from his position", and in return, he would "get any position in Sarajevo and be released and acquitted".
