(Patria) - German Chancellor Olaf Scholz stated that he is convinced that Europe's largest economy will not fall into recession.
Scholz is optimistic that Berlin could reach an agreement with Washington to avoid a trade war over new US subsidies for green energy.
“We are now talking with the government and all political people in the United States so that it does not happen that local content regulations are contrary to European partners,” Scholz said in an interview with Bloomberg TV.
“And I am quite optimistic that we will reach an agreement in this area,” he added.
